So I’m guessing if you bothered to visit this page, you are probably at least slightly intrigued by the idea and want to learn more. Good. We need you. Please do it. The more the merrier. Come to the dark side, we have cookies! Etc., etc.

Cutting right to the chase:

What can I submit?

It's completely open. Anything creative is accepted, from paintings to sketches to poetry to short stories to film to photography to doodles to random thoughts you had at 3:30 AM and decided to put down on paper. The possibilities are endless.

How do I submit?

You can email me your work at the.dream.project.mcps@gmail.com. I will respond to you as soon as possible and post your work if it complies to the rules.

Will an anthology or literary magazine ever be printed with my work in it?

The Dream Project is still very new and we haven't yet made any real arrangements for this, but eventually publishing an annual lit-mag is a personal goal of mine. It all depends on funding and the number of submissions we receive this year.

What are Daily Challenges?

Every day (more or less) I post a daily art challenge and a daily writing challenge to inspire you if you're running out of ideas.

RULES, REGULATIONS, AND EVERYTHING LEGAL

Rule 1. You may email me your work from any email account, personal or otherwise. Do not try to use your school account, as it is not possible to communicate through those accounts with anyone outside mcpsmd.net.

Rule 2. No work that is offensive, derogatory, or disrespectful towards any person’s race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, political viewpoint, sexual orientation, mental/physical disability, weight, physical appearance, social class, circumstances of birth, or other personal beliefs/attributes will be posted.

Rule 3. No work that is sexual/pornographic, profane, vulgar, or overly violent will be posted.

Rule 4. I know you guys are in your 7th-9th year in the education system, so this should seem annoyingly familiar (citation—the book that some random media specialist read aloud to my second grade class, featuring talking mice with laptop computers), but NO PLAGIARISM. If you copy work off of someone else and pass it off as your own, WE WILL KNOW, and it will not be accepted. DERIVATIVES ALSO COUNT AS PLAGIARISM, GUYS—so no fanfictions and no Star Wars manga OCs. Sorry, guys.

Legal Legal Legal Legal Etc.: Any work of writing or art posted on the Dream Project webpage is the property of its creator, who has full and complete ownership of the work. The Dream Project will not use, modify, distribute, or publish any without full and total permission of its creator(s). The Dream Project is a non-profit venture, and no associate or contributor of or to the Dream Project shall receive any payment.
