Write an ode to an everyday object.

An ode is a poem praising something or someone, enthusiastically celebrating it and all of its virtues. Traditionally, odes have been written to friends, lovers, or beloved places of their poets. However, today you will break that trend. Take a moment to appreciate all the extraordinarily ordinary things around you, from mechanical pencils to sidewalks to telescopes to bumper stickers, and celebrate one or two in a poem or song! (If you write it to your bed or phone, I’ll give you a cookie ‘cause you’re so darn relatable.)
