Try out surrealism in your artwork.
Have you ever seen Salvador Dali’s painting of melting clocks? That’s one of the most famous surrealist paintings. In the ‘20s and ‘30s, artists would create bizarre paintings of unnerving and absurd things, often using everyday objects to form strange unnatural creatures. They would usually paint these things with near-photorealism to heighten the surreal effect. Their aim was to express the workings of the subconscious mind (dreams) in real life. Feeling weird today? Try it out!
